Forgive Yourself

Sometimes, as human beings, you find it hard to forgive yourselves, even though God has forgiven you. You wonder how you could have done something as terrible as that! You wonder if God has really forgiven you. You become angry at yourselves and at others.

These guilt rides are not from God because it says in the Bible that when you ask for forgiveness, God is faithful and just, to forgive your sins. Also, when He forgives, He throws your sins as far as the east is from the west, and then you become whiter than snow.

So, the next time your past haunts you, remember the promises of God. Remember that you don't want to spend the rest of your life as a pillar of salt (full of bitterness) like Lot's wife in Genesis 19:26.
